The following is an open letter from TAMA Executive Director Ashley Frye to the TAMA membership
Greetings fellow TAMA members,
It is with great pleasure that I introduce myself as your new Executive Director. The process that brought me to TAMA began several years ago when the Board of Directors determined the need to bring in someone capable of providing leadership and support to our members on a daily basis. I want to thank the extraordinary efforts of our President Rick Youngblood and his executive team consisting of Vice President Dan Davidson and Secretary/Treasurer Marius Sipos that brought this proposal to fruition.
The general task presented to me is to strengthen our organization and elevate the image of TAMA so that it is easily recognized as the premier association in Tennessee. I hope to accomplish this by establishing a clear relationship between being a TAMA member and the value it provides to your business.
Recognizing that communication is the key to success in any endeavor, we will enhance our processes to help our current members and use it as a basis to encourage new membership. In the coming months you will see changes in how we present information to include the layout of our webpage and increase the ease of use. We will also expand the quantity and variety of information that will be of interest to our members.
I know manpower and workforce development are among the top issues that trouble our members. I want to share with you that TAMA has a long established and excellent working relationship with Tennessee state government which has allowed me to rapidly engage state and educational officials in addressing our concerns.
While I’ve mentioned change in our organization, there is one item of continuity that needs to be pointed out. Christian Anderson of Hall Strategies has been instrumental in providing outstanding administrative support to TAMA and will continue to give this high level of service.
It is an exciting time to be in Tennessee as part of such a dynamic industry. I am working hard to contact each of you in the near future but in the meantime please feel free to call me.
