Nissan To Host September TAMA Membership Meeting
Nissan will host the TAMA quarterly membership meeting on Sept. 9 at its facility in Smyrna.
Nissan is investing $1.7 billion to build a facility and battery plant for its new Leaf. Nissan’s investment is a clear sign the company believes is consumer demand for electric vehicles.
Dan Heur, manufacturing project manager electric vehicles at Nissan North America, will be the featured presenter and discuss Nissan’s strategy to become a eco-innovator.
Dan will also discuss how Nissan expects electric vehicle production to impact the supply chain. Participants will learn what suppliers need to know to stay in tune with the changing needs of this effort to reduce CO2 emissions.
Bill Hamton, publisher of AutoBeat Group, will host a town hall meeting about the emergence of the alternative fuel source vehicle into the automotive industry. This will be an interactive session where Bill will offer some insights from his daily reporting on the industry and take questions from the audience. Bill packed the room at a similar town hall meeting during last year's Southern Automotive Conference.
Registration and payment deadline is Sept. 3
